TIEMS is involved in two projects within global emergency and disaster management:
- TIEMS Africa Emergency Management Project
TIEMS believes that preventive measures in emergency management are the most cost effective way to reduce the risk and to deal with potential hazards and threats. TIEMS notice that Africa is underserved with respect to emergency and disaster management capacities. As a result, TIEMS has decided to launch a project plan for "Improving Emergency and Disaster Management in Africa with Focus on Education and Information Technology
- Public Safety Communication Europe Forum
With the support of the European Commission, “Forum for Public Safety Communication Europe” has been established in order to facilitate consensus building in the area of public safety communication and information management systems, see www.psc-europe.eu
